Shayna graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Masters in Physical Therapy (the American equivalent of Physiotherapy) in January 2008. After years working with adults across the US, Shayna began her true vocation of treating children in 2015. Based in a renowned paediatric clinic in California, she began working with children both in the school and private clinic settings. This involved working closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, teachers and, most importantly, families to provide the best possible care for each child. This compelled Shayna to adopt an holistic approach to treating every child.
Shayna has now had the pleasure of assessing and rehabilitating hundreds of infants, children and young adults between the ages of 1 month to 22 years.
Shayna has specialist post-graduate training in primitive reflex integration. This treatment is used to manage children and adults alike with coordination difficulties, poor balance, decreased strength, difficulty relaxing, hyperactivity, agitation, sleeping problems, and even reading difficulties, to name just a few.
Whether you have a child with special needs or concerns that your child may not be on target with his or her movement, balance, or coordination, Shayna can help you address your concerns and will work with you to find the best possible solutions for your child.
